When I was designing the workhorse model, I was thinking of putting every possible option into one messenger bag that I’ve ever seen, experienced or dreamed of – this is how this bag was born. Designed for hard, every-day messenger work, an undestructible messenger bag, filled with a lot of options, pockets, features.

The workhorse bag is made out of two layers: the inner layer is truck tarpaulin, a very tough, waterproof material. The outer layer is 1000 Denier Cordura, an extremely hard, impregnated and double coated, UV-resistant material. These two layers are not sewn together – the inner tarp is floating, so water cannot seep in through the seams, not even in heavy rain.

The bag’s shoulder strap is padded with a thick, 15mm (0.6″) padding, for extra comfort for your shoulders. This part can also keep your cell phone or walkie-talkie holders, or a small tool pouch also. The shoulder strap is made of seatbelt webbing, a very tough material. The shoulder strap is not reversible – you can wear it on the right OR left shoulder. There is a second shoulder strap, for your other shoulder – with this, you can wear the bag as a backpack, on both shoulders. Very practical when carrying heavy items.

There are two side compression straps on the bag – with these, you can compress the bag when it’s not filled. Also, just loose these straps when the bag is full, and it’ll be still comfortable, even with very bulky loads.

The workhorse bag has an outer back padding – offers more comfort when carrying heavy, or box-shaped items. The flap of the workhorse is longer than the standard messenger bag’s, so you can close it easily when it’s full.

There is a rain cover layer on the workhorse – this part prevents water seeping into your bag when it’s closed. No small holes on the sides of the bag flap – when the bag is closed, the inner parts are totally protected from water, rain, or mud. When your bag is totally full, the rain cover part helps you to extend the bag’s capacity.

There is an extra, second layer of cordura on the bottom of the bag.

Sizes:

Small size is not available from the workhorse – that is too small for attaching the second shoulder strap in a comfortable way.

Capacity is given after the flat dimensions of the bag – if you fill it, it can hold more.

Pockets:

There are 6 pockets in the workhorse. There are two inner, slip pockets, and one bigger, inner pocket, which closes with a velcro. These inner pockets are made out of a mesh material, you can always see what you put there.
On the outer layer, under the closed flap, there is a big, expandable pocket, which closes with velcro. On this, there is a smaller zipper pocket, and a smaller slip pocket with a pen holder inside. And if it’s still not enough for you, you can order some extra pockets also.
On the bottom of the bag, there is a reflective stripe, and a blinky holder. A second stablilizer strap helps to keep the bag always on your back – this strap also holds the bag when the second shoulder strap is in use.

Extra options:

We offer a lot of extra options so you can customize your bag as your needs.

Padded back: practical when carrying heavy, or sharp items. The padding is between your back and the load you’re carrying. It is a pocket, closes with a zipper, with a 1cm (0.4″) padding inside. You can remove the padding, you can sit on it when it is needed, and you can use this pocket as a slip pocket for up to A4 sized papers.

Compression straps: these two straps, based on the bottom of your bag, can be used to compress your bag when it’s not full. Also, you can attach something to your bag with these straps also – for example, a wet raincoat after a thunderstorm.

Secret pocket: a 10*10 cm (3.9″x3.9″) pocket, hidden in your bag.

Laptop sleeve: we’re making the sleeves after your laptop’s dimensions. This sleeve attaches to the bag’s inner layer with velcro, and is completely removable.

Key clip: a small, plastic carabiner inside your bag where you can store your keys safely.

Extra reflective stripes: two more reflective stripes, on the bag closing straps – offering even better visibility during those long winter nights.

Inner zipper pocket: this is a small additional pocket inside your bag – very good and safe place for your wallet, and papers.

U-lock holder: an adjustable U-lock holder on the side of your bag – you can just slip your U-lock into this. Only needed to set up the size once after your U-lock, and then will just work. It can hold U-locks from the standard sizes to the Kryptonite Minis.
